BeSafe is simple and effective seat belt for pregnancy that simply diverts the seat belt underneath the womb and over the hips. In the case of a sudden impact, the fetus does not come into contact with the seat belt.

Worldwide studies since 1970 clearly demonstrate that seat-belts should be worn at all times, even during pregnancy, to protect against road accidents or even just sudden breaking. It has, however, also been demonstrated that in the event of an accident, the weight of an average adult can increase to up to 3 - 5 tons. For a pregnant woman this would mean that the fetus, situated at the front of the womb, would take the full force of the impact caused by the seat belt itself.
BeSafe has been tested to the standard ECE Seat-Belt laws - ECE r 16. This test involved a crash dummy being subjected to a frontal impact of 50km/h. Cameras took 1,000 photographs per second of the sequence of events. The crash dummy was also fitted with fine sensors, connected up to a computer. After the simulated crash, the dummy, the BeSafe, the video and the computer read-outs were carefully analysed by the engineers at TÜV. The results were undeniable, BeSafe surpassed the requirements of the ECE r 16 standards .
